Spring is in the air

It’s been lovely to get out in the garden and enjoy the early spring sun and look at all the spring bulbs starting to show some much needed colour.

I love the bright vibrant colours of daffodils and the hedgerows and gardens are bursting with the showy blooms, they are even in the magazines and it was from this that I found the inspiration to make an Easter wreath.

As usual the fantastic blog of attic24 has some wonderful patterns for every crocheting eventuality! attic24

I made the polystyrene wreath cover using rows of treble crochet stitches in colours to complement the flowers. I knew I would have to use the little glitter eggs I found at The Range somewhere!

After a few days of “making” I had a lot of sewing in of ends to be done.

But the end result was worth it! Lots of zingy Spring colours!
